REFUND POLICY
Darryl Chappell Foundation Artists Marketplace
Effective as of July 5, 2026
This Refund Policy is governed by and subject to the Darryl Chappell Foundation Artists Marketplace Terms of Service (the “Terms”). Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings given in the Terms.
Limited return rights and circumstances when sales may be cancelled.
(a) Final Sale. All sales are final. We do not accept returns for buyer’s remorse or unmet expectations. You may not cancel after order confirmation except as expressly provided in this Refund Policy.
(b) Returns for Damage. If Artwork is damaged during shipping, you must comply with the inspection requirements in Section 7(e) of the Terms — which require you to report visible damage immediately upon receipt, and no later than three (3) business days, at artistsmarketplace@darrylchappellfoundation.org with photographs of the damage and original packaging. In addition to photographic evidence of the damage, your request must include your order number and a detailed description of the issue. If we are able to verify the damage based on the information you provide, we will issue a refund up to the insured value of the Artwork under the applicable transit insurance policy, which varies by shipping method and may be less than the Purchase Price, and is further outlined in Section 7(d) of the Terms. Because all Artwork is original and irreplaceable, no replacement can be provided in the event of loss or damage; financial remedy up to the insured value is the exclusive remedy for transit loss.
(c) Failed Delivery. If Artwork is returned due to an incorrect address or refusal, you are responsible for reshipment costs. Failure to arrange reshipment within thirty (30) days may result in sale cancellation and a partial refund of the Purchase Price, minus shipping.
(d) Refund Method. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your proof of damaged Artwork, as well as if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within thirty (30) days of the Foundation’s receipt of payment from the transit insurer. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your refund, please contact us at artistsmarketplace@darrylchappellfoundation.org. Shipping is refundable only if the return is due to transit damage subject to section (b), above.
